The foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, Linas Linkevicius, Edgars Rinkevics and Sven Mixer has asked the US to increase troops stationed in these countries, battalions, NATO forces, air force and Navy, said on Thursday the TV channel LRT.

«The foreign Ministers of the Baltic States asked the United States to strengthen NATO battalions stationed in these countries, by the air force and Navy,» — said the TV channel.

According to him, this Linkevičius said after a meeting of the three Ministers of foreign Affairs adviser to U.S. President for homeland security John Bolton.

The foreign Ministers of the Baltic States before the upcoming NATO summit asked for more U.S. attention to the air defense of the Baltic countries.

In July 2016 NATO summit in Warsaw it was decided to place in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland at the international NATO battalion. Their formation took over Britain, Germany, Canada and the United States.
