The politician wrote in Facebook estimated the content of his speech at the conference on Russia held in Milan. The turnip said that trade between the EU and Moscow is still profitable, but not growing because of irrational fear of interdependence. However, according to the parliamentarian, international trade just manifested in the interdependence between countries, and complete independence can be achieved only by building high walls with border guards.

«Of course, we don’t want such a wall. Then, once this fear is counterproductive, why don’t we just get rid of it?» — asked the Deputy.

The turnip added that from undermining bilateral trade relations of Russia and Europe win in the USA. The politician is sure that Washington is trying to make the EU completely dependent on his will and this is evident in the prohibitions on trade with partners from Russia and Iran and probably Turkey and China in the future.

MP urges European countries to think about their own interests and priorities. He stressed that although Europe has always been the «most reliable trade partner» of Moscow, now Russia needs guarantees that the European Union is and will be independent from third parties trade policies.

«If we continue to follow the current trend, Russia will have to move away from Europe and turn to Asia, which is experiencing a more dynamic period of development,» wrote Mamykin.

Finally, the MEP pointed to the need to be careful with the trading opportunities that Russia still provides, because «there is no guarantee that these opportunities will still be tomorrow.» «The markets are easier to lose than to find,» the politician summed up.

Russia’s relations with Western countries deteriorated four years ago in connection with the situation in Ukraine and around the Crimea. The West has accused Moscow of meddling in the Affairs of Ukraine and have imposed sanctions. The Russian side took retaliatory measures, aiming at import substitution.
