Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on Friday will present to Russian President Vladimir Putin their proposals on the candidates for the posts of Vice-premiers and Ministers, and staff numbers at the office of the Cabinet.

Earlier in the week, Medvedev presented to Vladimir Putin the structure of the new government. Drastic changes have occurred. Transformation touched by the Ministry of education and science, which we decided to divide it into two departments — the Ministry of education and Ministry of science and higher education.

The structure of the new government ministries represented by 22 against 21 in the previous part, the Prime Minister will have 10 deputies instead of nine. Medvedev previously voiced their proposals on the candidates for the posts of Vice-premiers.

First Deputy Prime Minister should be the Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov (will oversee the financial-economic bloc), and Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova (ciblock), Alexey Gordeev (AIC), Dmitry Kozak (industry and energy), Vitaly Mutko (construction), Yuri Borisov (DIC), Olga Golodets (culture and sport), Maxim Akimov (digital economy, transport and communications) and Konstantin Chuychenko (as chief of staff). The parliamentary sources earlier told RIA Novosti that Gordeyev might take in the updated Cabinet at the same time as Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. The Ministerial chairs

The candidates for Ministerial posts has not yet announced. However, sources in Parliament told RIA Novosti that their posts in the Cabinet will remain foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, and Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov.

But acting Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev, the acting Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov and the acting Minister for Open government Mikhail Abyzov, according to sources, are unlikely to retain their posts.
