The CPS for the first quarter of 2018 stopped the implementation of about 13 tons of imported vegetable products not complying with the mandatory requirements, according to the website of the Ministry.

«For the 1st quarter of 2018 by CPS from sale removed more than 56 tons of fruits and vegetables, not to meet the mandatory requirements, including 12,6 tonnes of imported products. The CPS pays great attention to laboratory tests of quality and safety of fruits and vegetables. For the 1st quarter 2018 on sanitary-chemical, microbiological and physico-chemical parameters was investigated about 19 thousand samples of fruits and vegetables», — stated in the message.

It is noted that the specific weight of samples of fruits and vegetables, not corresponding to hygienic standards on the content of chemical contaminants in the first quarter of 2018 was 0.5%, slightly below the figure for the same period of 2017. In the first quarter of last year it amounted to 0.6 percent in just the last year is 0.9 %. For microbiological indicators the proportion of samples not meeting hygienic standards, was 2.8%.

«In the 1st quarter of 2018 among the investigated samples of fruit and vegetable products the presence of GMOs is not fixed. The situation for supervision of produce remains in control of Rospotrebnadzor», — added in the message.
