Turkey’s ruling Party justice and development party (AKP) intends to strengthen relations with Russia, said in the election program of the AKP, which was announced by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday.

«We will strengthen our relations with Russia, and so put on a stable footing,» — said in the program.

The document notes that Ankara will not abandon the process of joining the EU and will seek a partnership with its ally, the United States, overcoming differences.

«We will defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine on the Crimea, going to fight for a just solution to the Cyprus problem. Save support Palestinians until they get their free country. Will support efforts to establish stability in Iraq. Syrian land will be cleaned from terrorists and the population will return home. We will advocate for a new legitimate government of Syria, which is install good neighborly relations», — stated in the program.
