The Finance Ministry has no plans to raise excise taxes on alcohol or minimum retail price (MRTS) in 2018, higher than inflation, said in an interview with RIA Novosti head of the Department of tax and customs policy of the Ministry of Finance of the RF Alexey Sazanov.

«If the increase (excise taxes on alcohol in 2018 — ed.) will, but only for inflation, this issue is now being discussed. Any other increase will not be,» said carp on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg international economic forum in 2018.

«Again, if MRC will grow within inflation. I don’t expect this year will increase MRTS on vodka,» he added.
