The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Palestinian national consensus Government of Libya Mohammed was Shining and the chargé d’affaires of China in Libya van Timing discussed the return of Chinese companies in the country to resume frozen projects, according to Xinhua news Agency.

During the reign of Muammar Gaddafi, Libya has signed multibillion-dollar contracts with foreign companies, including from China, for the construction of infrastructure, buildings and Railways. These projects have been frozen, and most foreign companies left the country in 2011 because of security reasons.

«The Libyan authorities established a Committee in order to continue the suspended Chinese projects,» said van Timing, noting that in the near future steps will be taken in order to find a mechanism for the resumption of project implementation.

As reported by Xinhua, previously with the Chinese diplomat met Prime Minister of Libya Faiz Sarraj and discussed bilateral cooperation.

In addition, on Monday China and Libya signed a document on granting China medical care for six million dollars.
