Haste in the consideration of the bill to increase Russia’s pension age will not, said the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

Earlier Thursday, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the government proposes to raise the age of retirement to 65 years for men and 63 years for women, the reform will be phased and will start in 2019. Medvedev also said that the bill on pension reform should be directed to the state Duma in the near future.

«The bill is not yet received, how to proceed, we will begin to discuss it. One thing I can say is definitely, rush is no will, in accordance with the regulations we have time to during the month to discuss it together with the regional legislative assemblies, and then to consider in the first reading,» — said Volodin.

State Duma speaker recalled that in August the deputies would leave, «but the policy doesn’t take holidays». «We have two months to discuss the draft for the second reading.
