The law on creation in Ukraine of the Highest anti-corruption court, the adoption of which was demanded by the IMF came into force.

The text of the law was published in the parliamentary newspaper «Voice of Ukraine» and in General, shall enter into force on the day following the day of its publication, but some of its provisions — with the beginning of the work of the court.

The Verkhovna Rada on Thursday adopted a presidential law on the establishment of the Supreme court anti-corruption in Ukraine. The creation of an anti-corruption court is one of the key requirements for Ukraine from the International monetary Fund for granting the next tranche of the loan.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko previously said that the law establishing the anti-corruption court is the key recommendations of the Venice Commission. In particular, the document provides separate security guarantees of judges of the anti-corruption court, as well as transparency of the recruitment judges.

At the same time, a non-governmental organization for the fight against corruption Transparency International the President proposed to withdraw the document and modify it, as it believes that it is not consistent with the recommendations of the Venice Commission. In particular, according to the organization, the bill sets unrealistic high requirements for candidates for judge of a High court anti-corruption that will not allow to properly organize the selection.
