Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev believes that Russian-Armenian relations are developing «in a coordinated scenario, confident and dynamic.»

Speaking before the meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Medvedev said that «I am glad a mutual acquaintance,» and congratulated his guest on his election as Prime Minister.

«Armenia is our close ally and together we strive for integration, collaborate together in the CSTO and develop in a coordinated scenario, we coordinate our development on the social, economy and other spheres», — said Medvedev.

In this regard, the Prime Minister stressed that the two governments should aim to further development of mutual relations.

«Our relations are developing steadily and dynamically. This, of course, linked to our cooperation in the EEC. It is also related to the fact that your economy shows good numbers of development, and our economy is growing. This is surely the result of mutual cooperation», — said Medvedev.

Medvedev further noted that in October last year, was on a visit to Armenia and then was signed a number of good agreements. He believes that Russian and Armenian government «should make every effort to implement them».

In response, Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the head of the Russian government since the beginning of the world championship and wished good luck to the Russian team.

«We can say that our relations are developing dynamically. Our relationship has always been special, they have such and such will remain. I don’t doubt it and I am sure that the economic aspect of our relations will continue to develop,» said Pashinyan.

He noted further that Armenia’s goal is «to make the EES more effective to do this, Armenia will seek to work more effectively, and then our Commonwealth will be really more efficient.»

He added that these issues were discussed yesterday with Russian President Vladimir Putin. «In General our relations are developing positively. We believe that they develop on the basis of respect for national interests of each other. Russia and Armenia have a lot in common in the national interest», — said Hovik Abrahamyan.

He believes that this is a good place to «tune in to an effective and dynamic work.»
