The European Commission has appointed a new head of the EU anti-fraud

The European Commission on Wednesday appointed representative of Finland Villa kitala new head of the European Bureau for combating fraud (OLAF), reported the press service of the Executive Board of the EU.

Kitala, 2013, held the chair member of the audit chamber of the EU will start from 1 August to the duties of the head of OLAF, and was succeeded by Briton Nicholas Auletta.

ОLAF was established in 1999 by decision of the European Commission to combat fraud in the implementation of programmes and policies of the European Union. The Bureau is an independent institution, interacting with relevant national bodies.
