Pushkin district court of St. Petersburg gave the person involved in business on preparation of explosion at the Kazan Cathedral Shamil Omargalieva 2.5 years in a penal colony with a fine of 50 thousand rubles, reports the United press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

«Umargaliev admitted guilt, repented of their deeds. The court has appointed punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 2.5 years in IK a General regime with a fine of 50 thousand rubles», — stated in the message.

Earlier it was reported that the citizen of the Russian Federation Anton Kobets November 2017 assisted the detainee FSB alleged supporter of ISIS* (terrorist group «Islamic state»*) Evgeny Efimov, made explosives to blow up the Kazan Cathedral. According to the investigation, Kobets helped Efimov in the reconnaissance to select the location of the explosion and gave advice on committing a terrorist act. The suspects were arrested.

Also arrested were three alleged accomplices of the planned attack. Smolninsky district court of St. Petersburg on December 17 arrested a native of Dagestan Shamil Omargalieva, a native of Ingushetia Alishan issue Khizir Esmurziev distinguished, suspected of illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition and the citizen of Tajikistan Firuza Kalafutova, suspected of illegal trafficking in explosives and explosive devices. All custody were five people who, according to the investigation, was related to the planned attack.
