The BRICS Nations will create a Forum of the intelligence community. As reported in the press service of the Russian security Council, agreement was reached at the meeting in South Africa eighth meeting of high representatives of the BRICS national security advisors.

«High-level representatives agreed on the establishment of the Forum of the intelligence community of the BRICS», — stated in the message.

At the last meeting, the participants underlined the joint commitment to cooperate on the prevention and reduction of threats to security and control. Also was noted the positive contribution of the BRICS countries in the issues related to security.

«Discussed the situation in hot spots. Agreed that the preservation of the fragility of peace and stability there is a possibility of degradation of the situation», — said in the security Council of the Russian Federation.

The meeting participants agreed to continue the monitoring of current security threats and cooperation on issues of mutual interest. In addition, the results were summed up activity of working group of the BRICS on counter-terrorism and security in the field of information and communication technologies. «High-level representatives reaffirmed that terrorism is transnational, continues to evolve and requires constant analysis of threats, as well as a five-sided exchange of opinions,» the statement reads.

The meeting participants noted the importance of building a solid Foundation for cooperation in the field of ensuring international information security. «The States parties to the BRICS to explore the possibility of developing an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in this sphere»,- said in the security Council. Among the other discussed issues related to peacekeeping, and combating transnational crime. Special attention was paid to the fight against international drug trafficking and money laundering obtained by criminal means.
