The visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Serbia, which is expected in 2018, will lead to the signing of a number of documents which will deepen cooperation between the two countries, said Russian Ambassador in Belgrade Alexander Chepurin.

Earlier, first Deputy Prime Minister and foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic said that the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov at the meeting on Thursday in Moscow, told him about the planned autumn visit of Putin to Belgrade. On Friday, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Serbia met with Serbian President.

«Ambassador Chepurin thanked the President Vucic for a high level of bilateral relations and said that the visit of President Putin is an expression of the desire of Moscow to deepen cooperation between the two countries. It is expected that during the visit of the Russian President to be signed several agreements that will contribute to this», — said the Russian Embassy.

Reportedly, Vucic said that the expected visit of the Russian President will reaffirm the «traditional friendly Russian-Serbian relations.»
