The third candidate for mayor of Yekaterinburg became a woman, despite the withdrawal of the candidature of the previous possible participants of the elections on Friday filed documents Hope Abakumov, reported RIA Novosti the Chairman of municipal electoral Committee Ilya Zakharov.

Earlier the documents for registration by candidates on a post of the mayor was filed by the Deputy of the state Duma Andrey Alshevskih and Professor of applied Economics at the Technical University of UMMC Maxim Kotlyarov. It was also reported that on Thursday filed documents unemployed Larisa Ladushkin. But then she changed her mind and took the documents.

«Abakumov Nadezhda», — said the interlocutor of the Agency in response to the question, who on Friday filed papers for mayor.

A source in the political circles of the city told RIA Novosti on Friday that Abakumov, the former wife of the Deputy Gordumy Ekaterinburg Konstantin Kiselev.

Zakharov had previously reported that documents from candidates will be accepted until July 6. On 23 July, the documents will be verified. Interview with candidates, documents which were in order, will be held July 25. After this, the competition Commission recommends a number of candidates for approval by the city Duma session.

Legislative Assembly of Sverdlovsk region, April 3, adopted in three readings a bill to abolish the direct election of the head of Ekaterinburg. The document suggests that the head of Ekaterinburg will choose members of city Council from among candidates proposed by the special Commission. This proposal was made the Governor of the region Evgeny Kuyvashev. The head of the region signed the law on April 16, he joined the force.

 

As previously reported with reference to Deputy Dmitry Sergin, who presented the project, the competitive Commission is formed on parity basis: half of the members of the Commission appointed by the deputies of the city Duma, half — Governor of the Sverdlovsk region. In total, the Commission will consist of six people. To participate in the competition for mayor will be able to citizens over the age of 21 without a criminal record, said Sergin.

The incumbent at the time the mayor Yevgeny Roizman on may 22, said that he would not propose to the agenda of the Yekaterinburg Duma the question on introduction of changes to the city Charter, which would be spelled out cancellation of elections of the head of Ekaterinburg. After that the mayor announced his resignation. Now duties of the mayor takes the Deputy Chairman of the city Duma Viktor Tests.
