The Supreme court of the Republic of Crimea has sentenced a citizen of Ukraine Evgenia Panova to eight years of penal colony for the preparation of sabotage, the correspondent of RIA Novosti news from the courtroom.

He was accused under several articles of the criminal code: preparation of diversions, including an organized group; preparation for a crime and attempted crime; illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or bearing of firearms, its basic parts, ammunition; smuggling of potent, poisonous, toxic, explosive, radioactive substances.

The lords did not admit his guilt.

In August 2016, the FSB prevented in the Crimea, acts of terrorism, which, according to the Agency, was prepared by the main intelligence Directorate of the defense Ministry of Ukraine. Then detained the Ukrainians Andrey Sahaja and Evgeny Panov.

Sahta previously entered into a pretrial agreement with the investigation. It gave evidences about preparation of the Ukrainian intelligence of a series of explosions. In February he was sentenced to 6,5 years of a colony of a strict mode.
