Ural Institute of cardiology is planning in the next three years to implement a pilot project «City heart», allowing to conduct comprehensive diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, reported RIA Novosti Director of the Institute, the chief cardiologist of Sverdlovsk region, Jan Gabinsky.

According to him, the volume of investments is estimated at 1.5 billion rubles, and the first coronary (heart) center is scheduled to open later this year.

«Currently, negotiations are underway with investors. The project will be implemented under a public-private partnership. The amount of investment is estimated at 1.5 billion rubles,» — said Gabinski.

Previously, the Department of information policy of the Sverdlovsk region Governor told RIA Novosti that the head of the region Evgeny Kuyvashev at the meeting with Ian Labinskom declared the advisability of this project.

«The project «City heart» is created in the Ural Institute of cardiology with the support of the Governor. In this city will apply new and innovative technology. But the most important technology is the construction of a coronary center which will produce coronary passports and at the end of the year, he will be commissioned,» said Gabinski.

Chief cardiologist of the region added that coronary passport allows dynamic monitoring of the coronary (heart) vessels throughout the patient’s life — this unique and patented technology of the Ural Institute of cardiology has no analogues in the world.

As explained Gabinski, after the implementation of the pilot project for the release of the first 3.3 thousand coronary passports, to the scientists and doctors came the idea of creating not only passports, but also the coronary (cardiac) centres across the country that would build a comprehensive system of dynamic evaluation of the coronary (heart) human health and significantly reduce mortality from cardiovascular disease.

«City of hearts» is a pilot project, which includes coronary center, rehabilitation center, clinic, hotel. In the «city heart» will be all — magnetic resonance tomography, computed, coronary passport which will allow you to assess the coronary health for a day or two. The center will use innovative breakthrough digital technology,» said Gabinski.
