A criminal case was opened after the poisoning of 15 people rolls in Barnaul, according to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

Previously, the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in Altai Krai reported that 15 people, including two children, were poisoned by rolls in Barnaul, nine of them were hospitalized to the infectious Department. According to authorities, the victims identified infectious gastroenteritis.

«Investigative agencies of the investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai region opened a criminal case on the fact of poisoning of food, several residents of the city of Barnaul», — stated in the message. The case was initiated under article «manufacture, storage or transportation for sale or sale of the goods and production, performance of works or rendering of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life or health of consumers».

According to the investigation, from 4 to 7 July 2018 in medical institutions of Barnaul received 15 people of acute intestinal infection. Previously, it was found that the victims were poisoned by the products made by the same company, which had been violations of sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the production of sushi, rolls and pizza.

Currently the company is suspended, the investigators inspected the plant for the production of food, interrogated the staff and head of service delivery.
