The inhabitant of Bashkiria will be judged for trying to six million rubles ransom from relatives of the head of the village Council, whom he took hostage, luring to the garage to look at «homemade oven-steam train», said the Prosecutor’s office of the Republic.

According to authorities, the incident occurred in November 2017 in the village of Chishmy in Bashkiria.

In the garage, the man instructed the official revolver of Revolver system, wearing on his neck the mechanism of the cable, which supposedly had a suffocating effect, and the zone head tied a mock explosive device. According to supervising body, the man, at gunpoint, the victim, went with him to his brother’s house, where he demanded 6 million roubles.

«The same day the head of the district gathered with friends over a million rubles and handed over to the defendant in a criminal case, and the next day – 1.7 million, then the victims were released. A few days later, law enforcement officers detained the defendant in a criminal case and withdrew from him part of the stolen amount. The balance of funds was discovered by a villager», — stated in the message of the Supervisory authority.

«Chishminsky district Prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in the criminal case against 51-year-old local resident and sent to court for consideration in essence», — said the Agency.
