The U.S. justice Department will continue to investigate «interference» of Russia in elections

Deputy head of Ministry of justice of the United States Rod Rosenstein said that the investigation into the «intervention» of Russia in American elections has not been completed and will continue.

«The investigation is ongoing,» — said the representative of the US Department of justice at a press conference on Friday.

On Friday, the U.S. justice Department brought charges against 12 employees of the Russian intelligence services, accusing them of hacking attacks and the dissemination of illegally obtained information from the servers of the US Democratic party.

In October, the Ministry of internal security and the office of the Director of national intelligence said about the alleged involvement of the Russian government to hacker attacks committed earlier in 2016 in respect of political organizations in the United States. Later CIA through the media accused Russia of hacking the servers of the party Democratic party to help Donald Trump, who won the presidential elections on 8 November.

In the present investigation, alleged Russian interference in American elections, as well as alleged links trump with Russia that contradict the White house and the Kremlin, is a special Prosecutor, Robert Mueller, and in parallel with it — the Committee on intelligence of the house of representatives and the U.S. Senate. Russia denies such allegations, calling them unsubstantiated. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov called allegations of meddling in the election «completely unfounded».
