Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told the details of the upcoming meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald trump.

Ushakov reminded that the summit will be held July 16 at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki. According to him, the meeting will begin with a conversation tet-a-tet in the presence of interpreters. In the future, said assistant to the President, the negotiations will continue at a working Breakfast with the participation of some members of the delegations. After that, the two leaders will hold a joint press conference.

According to Ushakov, the Central theme of the summit will be the current state of relations and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation. However, the presidential aide said that the negotiations will be affected by key international issues, including the Syrian issue, the Ukrainian crisis and the issue of the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate range (the INF Treaty). This Ushakov did not rule out that Putin and trump will affect the energy agenda.

Assistant to the President stressed that the purpose of the summit is to take concrete steps to improve relations between Russia and the United States. However, he noted that the forthcoming meeting of the leaders of the two countries will be the main event of the summer in diplomacy.

The talks between Putin and trump will take place on July 16. This will be the first full meeting of the presidents of the two countries without reference to the summits.
