Financial marketplace of the Bank of Russia, which he is going to create, can receive an additional function, which will allow Russians to carry out lending to each other in a controlled environment, told RIA Novosti source familiar with the situation.

According to RIA Novosti information, the first working version of the financial marketplace appears in mid-February, and the full functionality of the platform, which will include securities, individual investment accounts, insurance and credit products will be available in Russia from mid-2019.

«Now being discussed on the marketplace platform to unify all financial services, including lending a natural person of another individual. It is an initiative of the Central Bank to this area succumbed to at least some regulation. Now there are many disputes involving unscrupulous borrowers took the money and disappeared. Central Bank is very keen to bring this practice to a minimum», — said the Agency interlocutor, adding that this issue was discussed at the last meeting of the working group on marketplace.

He also said that this initiative is only realised if the platform is successful.

In the regulator working group includes the Moscow exchange and national settlement Depository, which will be responsible for the infrastructure of the marketplace, the three «Windows» of the marketplace — «the Banks.Ru» Fins and «Юником24» and five banks-testers: «AK bars», «Center-invest», «Zenith», Sovcombank and Russian standard Bank. In early summer the first Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Sergey Shvetsov said that the users of the financial marketplace can be several tens of millions of people in the first three years of operation.
