Russia and Sudan have agreed on the development of «Block 15» on the shelf of the red sea

Rosgeologia signed with the Ministry of oil and gas of the Republic of Sudan, the agreement on the exploration and development of oil and gas «Block 15» on the shelf of the red sea, according to a press release of the Russian geological company.

The agreement was signed in the framework of the working meeting the head of the Ministry of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kobylkin, the President of Sudan. It is noted that in negotiations took part the General Director – Chairman of the Board of JSC «Rosgeologia» Sergey Panov.

«During the meeting were discussed the results of the holding company under a state contract with the Ministry of mineral resources of Sudan on the establishment of metallogenic maps of the country, as well as exploration and development of «Block 15″ on the shelf of the red sea. The corresponding agreement was signed by Minister of oil and gas of the Republic of the Sudan A. A. Abdullah,» reports «Rosgeologiya».

The first stage is a complex of geologic-geophysical works and the drilling of exploration wells with the organization of the subsequent production, says the company.
