International airport in the German city of Hanover (Federal state of lower Saxony) took a break on Tuesday due to the abnormally hot weather, established in Germany.

This is stated in the published statement of the official representative of the airport.

«Due to the ongoing heat of the North runway of the airport was damaged. At the same time in connection with the repair work closed the southern lane. In this regard, the airport is closed at least until Wednesday until 06.00 am (07.00 GMT) for all departures and arrivals» — said in a statement.

Passengers arrived at the airport, it is recommended to go home and see about the status of your flight with the airline.

An abnormal heat which was established in Germany last weekend, will last at least two weeks. Forecasters predict that by the weekend the temperature in the Central regions will warm up to plus 37 degrees Celsius.
