The fourth Orthodox temple will be built in the Kazakh capital Astana, reported the press service of the Ministry of social development of the Republic.

According to the Agency, the Minister of social development of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kaletayev informed of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill during a meeting in Moscow.

«Darkhan Kaletayev said that Orthodox Christians have all the conditions to meet their religious needs. On behalf of the President of Kazakhstan decided to build a fourth Orthodox Church in Astana», — said the press service.

According to the Ministry, already resolved the question of the allocation of the Orthodox Church land for the construction of the temple, conducted the development of the project.

In a press release it is reported that during the conversation the Patriarch «highlighted wise policy of President Nursultan Nazarbayev aimed at strengthening inter-religious peace and consent in Kazakhstan society».

Kaletayev thanked the Patriarch for his contribution to the development of interreligious and intercultural dialogue and expressed appreciation for the support and participation of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church in the work of the Astana inter-religious forums as well as its working bodies.

«At the end of the conversation, the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill stressed that Russia is sincerely glad to the dynamic development of Kazakhstan, strengthening its credibility in the international arena, and expressed full support for the policy of the Kazakh authorities, aimed at strengthening interfaith and interethnic peace and accord», — stated in a press release.
