Died on Tuesday, the renowned jurist and presidential Advisor Veniamin Yakovlev was an honour and conscience of Russian law, told RIA Novosti the Chairman of the constitutional court of Yakutia, Alexander Kim-Kimen.

Large lawyer, first Chairman of the Supreme arbitration court of the Russian Federation, doctor of legal Sciences, Professor, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Veniamin Yakovlev died on Tuesday at 87-m to year of life. Yakovlev was born in the Kurgan region. He graduated from the Sverdlovsk law Institute in 1953 until 1956 and was a Professor and Director of the law school in Yakutsk. From 1956 to 1960 he worked as a senior assistant Prosecutor of the Yakut ASSR.

As noted by the Chairman of the constitutional court of the Republic since 1995, he periodically met with Veniamin Yakovlev.

«Veniamin always very warmly recalled his years of work in Yakutia. We never lost touch, had consulted him, asked for help. And he was always responsive. Came to us in Yakutsk, participated in the meetings of the Yakut regional branch of Association of lawyers of Russia. All his speeches were absolutely brilliant. I believe and will assume that Veniamin Yakovlev was mind, honor and conscience of the Russian law,» — said RIA Novosti Kim-Kimen.

He brought condolences to relatives of Yakovlev. «Today I spoke with the Dean of the law faculty of North-Eastern Federal University. We are all in deep mourning. Offer our sincere condolences to everyone who knew this remarkable man,» — said the President of the constitutional court of Yakutia.
