The Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation admits the increasing support of the Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery in 2019, said Minister of agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.

«With regard to 2 billion rubles next year, we plan to support producers of agricultural machinery, we, along with (Deputy Prime Minister) Aleksey Vasilyevich Gordeyev will think on this topic. Perhaps this figure will increase», — said Patrushev at the meeting with members of the Federation Council on Wednesday.

In addition, according to him, the Ministry of agriculture exploring opportunities and other ways to support the producers. «We will turn to the government with a proposal to increase the discount provided by the manufacturer of agricultural equipment for the consumer of this machinery, that is, in fact, for agricultural producers,» — said the Minister.

This measure will allow not only to increase sales of agricultural machinery, but also to modernize its fleet. «With regard to the processing hardware and possible increase of duties on imported from abroad equipment. The story is simple: today, the Ministry is set sufficiently categorical and wants within the framework of the import substitution program was used mostly Russian equipment», — said Patrushev.

The head of the Ministry noted that the Ministry shares the position of the Ministry of industry and trade, however, the tasks of the Ministry of agriculture also includes providing the population with food. «Until then, until we can build a market of this kind (agriculture — ed.) products, which meets all the requirements, we will insist that our processors had the opportunity to purchase and import equipment,» — said Patrushev.
