The representative of the national security Council in response to a request to comment on statements of Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov on offer to meet Donald trump and Vladimir Putin at the end of the year in Washington was asked to refer to previous statements by the White house.

On Tuesday Ushakov told reporters that the adviser to the us President for homeland security John Bolton a few days after the summit in Helsinki passed a proposal to hold a new meeting between the presidents of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Donald trump in Washington at the end of the year. Thus, according to him, the preparation for the meeting has not started yet.

19 July, press Secretary of the White house Sarah Sanders posted on Twitter a statement that trump asked Bolton to invite Putin to Washington in the autumn, and discussions are already underway.

In addition, on Monday, Sanders said Bolton in August, will hold talks on this issue «with his Russian counterpart». Ushakov suggested that the negotiations will be conducted with the Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev, however, the details and the meeting place is still unknown. In the White house, RIA Novosti reported that «no details have yet to be announced.»

The first full-scale talks trump and Putin took place on 16 July in Helsinki. The first presidents for more than two hours talking tete-a-tete, after which the delegation had lunch in the extended format and then answered questions from journalists. Following the meeting, the leaders expressed interest in improving relations between the two countries.
