The intensity of vehicle traffic on the bridge across the Kerch Strait since early July grew by almost 45%, the press service of Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation.

The Ministry said that since the bridge has traveled more than 1.2 million cars and buses.

«Since the beginning of the holiday season is experiencing rapid traffic growth. Since the beginning of July, the intensity increased almost 45% in comparison with June and an average of more than 23 thousand cars daily in both directions», — stated in the message.

In 2.5 months the bridge have used the same number of cars and buses as carried Kerch ferry for the entire 2017, and this traffic went to the first place on the road Simferopol – Kerch, where construction is underway on a new track «Taurus», noted the press service. «According to these objective reasons, the complete elimination of congestion on the Crimean roads can only be expected after the holiday season of 2018,» added the Ministry.

The load on the route Kerch – Simferopol will be reduced after the opening to traffic of the «Tauris» in dogpilecom the execution in December of this year, said the Ministry of transport. In addition to the end of 2018 it is planned to open traffic on the 10 new transport interchanges.
