The guards detained the Russian sea cucumber, ginseng and the horn of the saiga antelope, which he tried to illegally export from Primorye to China, according to the regional border Department of the FSB of Russia.

«Check point «Boundary-road» in the cabin of the car, following the departure from Russia to China, the border guards found 10 packages with dried sea cucumber total weight of 20 pounds and a packet of 56 roots of red ginseng. Behind the driver’s seat was hidden the horn of the saiga,» — said in the message.

According to 63-year-old driver, sea cucumber and ginseng he was asked to move across the border, the foreigner, promising to pay for it, and an animal horn he bought at one of the markets of Ussuriysk for a souvenir.

Concerning the driver criminal case under article «Illegal production and trafficking of especially valuable wild animals and aquatic biological resources belonging to the species listed in the Red book of the Russian Federation and (or) protected by international treaties of the Russian Federation».
