Adviser to the RF President Veniamin Yakovlev was buried on Friday at Shirokorechenskiy cemetery in Yekaterinburg.

The first Chairman of the Supreme arbitration court of the Russian Federation, doctor of legal Sciences, Professor, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Veniamin Yakovlev died on Tuesday at the age of 86 years.

Farewell ceremony with Yakovlev took place at the Sverdlovsk state academic drama theatre. To say goodbye to a statesman came more than a hundred of his colleagues and students, as well as representatives of the regional government, administration of Yekaterinburg, the regional courts and Prosecutor’s office. At the funeral last respects to an outstanding jurist gave the honor guard. The last way Yakovleva performed close relatives and colleagues, laid wreaths on his grave.

Veniamin Yakovlev was born on 12 February 1932 in the town of Petukhovo, Ural oblast, RSFSR (now the Kurgan region) in a family of workers. After graduating in 1953, Sverdlovsk law Institute (now — Ural state law University) has had a brilliant legal career. From July 1989 to December 1990 was one of the last Ministers of justice of the USSR Nikolai Ryzhkov.

From December 1990 to November 1991 was the Chairman of the Supreme Arbitration court of the USSR. He created a system of arbitration courts of Russia in 1992 became Chairman of the Supreme Arbitration court of the Russian Federation, which he headed for 13 years. After leaving the post of Chairman, was appointed adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
