The acting Governor of the Altai territory Viktor Tomenko on Friday filed documents for registration as candidate for presidential elections in the region and proposed three candidates to the Federation Council, including the ex-Governor of the region Alexander Karlin, told RIA Novosti the regional electoral Commission.

«Victor Tomenko on Friday morning introduced the first leaves to support the candidate with the signatures of deputies of representative bodies of municipal formations. He also passed information about the three candidates, one of which in case of victory on elections is vested with the powers of the member of the Federation Council.
