China with the assistance of Interpol on Saturday returned to the country one more from the list of 100 most wanted fugitives and corrupt officials — a former police officer of the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province Zhang Junguan, the report said the Central Commission for discipline inspection of the Communist party of China.

He became the 54th fugitive corrupt that the Chinese authorities managed to return home. It is noted that the criminal himself has expressed a desire to return to China.

Zhang Junhuan (born in 1982) was a member of the police station of Nanshan district in Shenzhen. In December 2010, his attitude started an investigation on suspicion of corruption, prompting him to run in the United States. In August 2013, at the request of China, Interpol has issued against the former police officer «red notice» on the international wanted list.

In April 2015, China launched a campaign called «Celestial network» to capture the overseas fugitive corrupt officials and CPC members. The Chinese authorities handed over to Interpol a list of 100 most wanted fugitives, suspected of corruption. In their respect, the Interpol issued «red notices».

A large-scale campaign against corruption began with the coming to power of Chinese President XI Jinping. Since then, thousands of officials have been punished for violation of party discipline and corruption. Currently, the official Beijing is negotiating with foreign States for extradition of fugitives.
