Red army allegedly invaded the Ukraine in 2014, said the former U.S. Ambassador in Kiev, Director of the Eurasian center of the Atlantic Council John Herbst in live TV channel RTVI.

In the course of his dispute with the Russian political scientist Yevgeny Minchenko, the ex-diplomat has put forward high-profile accusations against Moscow and a non-existent army.

«Without the leadership of the Kremlin, Russian officers, without Russian money, without Russian weapons there would be no uprising in the Donbass. This rebellion was created by the Kremlin. In August 2014, if the Red army as a whole group has not entered into Ukraine, Kiev took to the whole territory of Eastern Ukraine back,» said Herbst.

In turn, a political expert retorted that the coup in Ukraine occurred with the help of American money. However, the former Ambassador called the argument of the scientist stupidity, which caused him a sharp answer.

«Mr. Herbst, I didn’t insult you. I believe that you are a diplomat, you are just rude man, you are a CAD,» concluded Minchenko.

However, Herbst could not argue, as the host of the television Ekaterina Kotrikadze interrupted the debate, ending the discussion.

The red army was formed in January 1918 and ceased to exist in February 1946 in connection with the renaming of the Soviet army, which was dissolved in 1993 — two years after the collapse of the USSR.

The Ukrainian authorities in April 2014 began a military operation against the breakaway LC and the DNI, declared independence after a coup in Ukraine in February 2014. According to the latest UN victims of the conflict began more than ten thousand people.

Kiev has repeatedly accused Moscow of meddling in Ukraine’s Affairs, in particular in involvement in the conflict in the South-East of the country and espionage. Russia calls the allegations unfounded and unacceptable. Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to domestic conflict and is interested in Kiev overcame political and economic crises.
