The accredited visa centers will help to lead the company to international standards, the proposed rule is used in the world, told reporters the head of the social Committee of the Federation Council Valery Ryazansky.

A bill providing for the mandatory accreditation of visa application centres, last week was submitted to the Duma. Amendments to the law «On procedure of exit from Russia and entry to Russia» was drafted by the senators Konstantin Kosachev and Oleg Morozov. Press Secretary of the Russian Union of travel industry Irina Tyurina told RIA Novosti that the bill on mandatory accreditation, the companies operating visa application centres in Russia, can lead to the fact that all foreign diplomatic missions will either have to change service providers, or to suspend the activities of visa centers.

«The authors of the bill propose to legally protect the rights and interests of consumers, including their personal data from unscrupulous manufacturers of these services,» explained the legislator.

According to Ryazan, nothing extraordinary plans to accredit the visa centers in the Russian Federation, no, «similarly happens in other countries, so talk about some of the sad consequences of accreditation, for example, the mass closure of these centres, it would be wrong».

«It seems to me that the accredited visa centers, in case (that) will take place after discussion with the professional community and their opinions, will help bring our company to the international standards», — said the MP. According to him, only the opinion of professionals in this situation will help to avoid unpleasant consequences for the market and for citizens.

Ryazan noted that according to the procedure of working with documents in the state Duma, before the release of the bill on the first reading will be held meetings and workshops with interested market participants. Also in the process of working on the bill will be discussed and contents of legal acts.

The draft law assumes that the order of accreditation of the visa application centres will be determined by the government of the Russian Federation.
