Festive events dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the deployment of peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation, will be held on Saturday in Transnistria.
The celebrations will begin in the morning with a rally and laying flowers at the memorial arch «blessed are the peacemakers» at the entrance to Bender. Then will lay flowers to the set in the Avenue of the peacekeepers, the monument to the Russian soldier-peacemaker, on which is inscribed «Where we are — a world.»
At 9.00 Bender in a military town of the Russian peacekeepers will be the main event. On the parade ground will take place solemn construction personnel of military contingents SMS and rally. There also will be a rewarding and honouring the most distinguished servicemen.
This afternoon visit the military camp of Russian peacekeepers can all attend. The visitors will be submitted to the military equipment and small arms, hand to hand combat demonstration, a concert and lunch in canteens.

However, it remains unclear the participation of Moldovan peacekeepers in the festivities. On Thursday held a meeting of the joint control Commission (JCC is a collective governing body of peacekeeping operations), the delegation of Moldova is not denied but also not confirmed the opportunity to participate in the celebrations.
Currently, the peacekeeping operation in Transnistria carried out a joint peacekeeping force, which includes 402 Russian servicemen, 492 Transnistrian, 355 Moldovan and ten military observers from Ukraine. Peacemakers bear service on 15 stationary posts and checkpoints, which are placed on the key areas of a security zone.
Transnistria, 60% of inhabitants are Russians and Ukrainians sought to secede from Moldova even before the collapse of the USSR, fearing that Moldova will join Romania. In 1992, after a failed attempt by the Moldovan authorities the power to solve the problem, Transnistria has become virtually beyond the control of Chisinau’s territory.
