Documents, legally enshrining the transfer of the launch pad under rocket «Zenith» to Kazakhstan is planned to be signed during the next meeting of the intergovernmental Commission to be held in the fall of 2018, told RIA Novosti, the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of defense and the aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazkosmos).

Previously the acting Deputy Chairman of Kazkosmos Baubek Oralmagambetov reported RIA Novosti news Agency that Kazakhstan has already adopted from Russia all the infrastructure for launches of «Zenith» but the paperwork is not completed and requires approval at the intergovernmental level.

«Yes, in the upcoming sixth meeting of the intergovernmental Commission on «Baikonur» complex is planned to sign the act on the exclusion of objects of space rocket complex «Zenith» of the leased Russian Federation», — said the Agency, adding that the meeting of the intergovernmental Commission on «Baikonur» complex «is planned in September-October 2018».

Earlier, a source at the cosmodrome told RIA Novosti that the transfer of the infrastructure of a rocket complex «Zenith» at the cosmodrome from Russia, Kazakhstan should have been completed before 1 June, but the signing of all necessary documents can last for several months.

A list of the objects transferred, the Commission adopted in 2016, and the transfer process started on March 1, 2018. Only Kazakhstan should be returned from the Russian lease the launch complex of the platform №45 with two launchers (active and destroyed), automotive complex Assembly-test case of the platform №42, as well as the measuring point.

It is assumed that Kazakhstan modernizes obtained the launch pad for rockets «Soyuz-5» and spend 314 million dollars. Source RIA Novosti at the launch site also reported that the conduct of a manned rocket «Soyuz-5» from the cosmodrome «Baikonur» will require the restoration of built in Soviet times, moving the farm to landing astronauts in the spaceship and the equipment of system of emergency rescue of cosmonauts.
