The Federation Council approved on Saturday at the meeting of the the law is aimed at improving anti-corruption issues; in particular, former officials and after dismissal will be required within six months to report their expenses and the expenses of spouses and minor children.

Monitoring will be carried out in respect of each transaction the former officials for the acquisition of real estate, vehicles, securities, improved in the period for holding public office, if the total amount of such transactions exceeds the total income of the official and his wife for the last three years preceding the transaction.

For the implementation of the control the public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation or subordinate prosecutors can demand from various government authorities information about income, expenses and assets and liabilities of the former official, his wife and minor children, as well as the sources of obtaining money, as well as «inquiries from individuals and to obtain information from them».

Provides that if such a mismatch of expenditure to the total income, the public Prosecutor can address in court with the statement for appeal is in favor of the Russian Federation plots of land, houses, vehicles, securities, shares and stakes in Charter capital of organizations, if the former official is not able to confirm their purchase of legitimate income.

If the treatment of such property in income of the Russian Federation is impossible, will be charged an amount of money equivalent to its value.

The law also supplements a list of persons in respect of whom exercises control over their spending, atamans military Cossack societies listed in the state register of the Cossack societies of the Russian Federation.
