Writer Vladimir Voinovich equally interesting to work in different genres, he was friendly and open person, which sensitively responded to all social difficulties, and had his clear position, told RIA Novosti the literary critic Igor Volgin.

Voinovich passed away from a heart attack on 86-m to year of life, in the night of Saturday, said the journalist Victor Davydov and writer Viktor Shenderovich in Facebook.

«I knew Voinovich personally for many years, he was friendly, open person, very reactive to life, absolutely indifferent. Social difficulties he perceived as their own. In this respect it was helpful, many loved him… Voinovich politically has always stuck to his line, he was not in the General dissident choir,» said Volgin.

He stressed that the lines of his song «On the dusty paths…» entered into the national consciousness and people sing it even when Voinovich himself was in exile. In «Trilogy about the soldier Ivan Chonkin» the author tried to create a new character, noted the Agency interlocutor. «It is equally interesting to work in different genres,» said Volgin.

Voinovich, novelist, playwright and poet. Wrote such novels as «the Trilogy about the soldier Ivan Chonkin», «Moscow 2042» and «Portrait on the background of the world.» The winner of the award «Triumph» and the state prize of the Russian Federation for the book «Monumental propaganda».
