Deputy Chairman of the government of the Magadan region Igor Ozimek taken into custody on charges of abuse of office, reported on the website of the regional Department of the RF IC.

Earlier criminal case under article «Excess of powers of office by a person holding a state post of the subject of the Russian Federation» was initiated against the Deputy Chairman of the government of the Magadan region Igor Ozimka.

«The twenty-ninth of July 2018 Magadan city court considered the petition of the investigation about the election accused a preventive measure. Based on the investigation documents, the court decided to elect Igor Asimco a measure of restraint in form of detention», — is spoken in the message.

Reportedly, Asimco charged, now under investigations aimed at collecting evidence.

According to the investigation, in 2015-2016 Ozimok found a commercial organisation using their official powers, helped to conclude a state contract with the Magadan regional state public institution «Directorate of transport and automobile roads» for provision of services for maintenance of the road intermunicipal values. The cost of the work under this contract exceeded 59 million roubles.

According to investigators, the suspect knew that the company will not be able to comply with the terms of the contract due to the lack of technology and expertise, «is clearly going beyond their powers, under the threat of creating negative consequences for commercial activities to JSC «Tenkinsky road company» controlled area» persuaded the Director of the NGO to sign the sub-contract specified contract worth 47 million rubles, said SK. «Thus, the suspect provided a profit for its controlled commercial enterprises in the amount of 12 million rubles», — stated in the message.
