About 7 thousand people took part in the night race, which was held in Moscow in the night from 28 to 29 July, this number was a record for the whole history of the race, said in a statement on the portal of the mayor of the capital.

«This year the event was joined by 7.5 thousand people — a record number of participants in the history of the race. The route length of 10 kilometres was in the center of the city — from the Olympic complex «Luzhniki» on Moskvoretskaya, the Kremlin, Prechistensky and Frunze quays. Participants saw St. Andrew and the Crimean bridges, and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior», — stated in the message.

The winner of the race was Dmitry Safronov, who covered the distance in 30 minutes, 28 seconds. Among women the fastest was Svetlana Simakova with a score of 34 minutes, 21 seconds.

The night run has been held in Moscow since 2013. The participation of experienced sportsmen and newcomers alike.
