A young Palestinian girl Ahed Tamimi was released from Israeli prison, where she spent almost eight months for the assault in the military, told RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the local prison Ministry.

For fellow 17-year-old girl became the symbol of the wave of protests triggered by the decision of the United States to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, contrary to the claims of Palestinians in the Eastern part of the city.

«This morning, Tamimi was released from prison,» — said the official representative of management of prisons of Israel Asaf Library. The girl is now being taken in the Palestinian territory, where the countrymen are preparing for her ceremonial appointment.
