OSCE ODIHR has no plans to send a mission to Crimea

Office for democratic institutions and human rights (ODIHR) of the OSCE has no plans to send a mission to Crimea, but there are clear conditions required for such work, said RIA Novosti the representative of the press service of the organization.

Previously, the newspaper «Izvestia» reported that the delegation of the OSCE / ODIHR intends to visit Crimea to assess the situation with human rights.

«We received a question Friday from a journalist, who asked under which conditions can we do this mission. I explained that the only (then) when we have, first, an invitation from the authorities of Ukraine and if it is observed the condition of our free work,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

However, he clarified that currently, the ODIHR is not planning a mission to the Crimea. «No plans,» — said the representative of press-service.
