The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a law that specifies the procedure of accounting and registration in tax authorities of the structural subdivisions of international organizations and foreign non-profit organizations (NPOs) in Russia, the corresponding document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

It was earlier established that foreign NGOs in the establishment of a branch or representative office in the Russian Federation should be included in a special register, the notification on the establishment of the organization must make the founding documents, a document outlining the goals and objectives of creation of branch or representative office, as well as the position on NGOs.

The signed document stipulates that from March 1, 2019, the tax authorities are obliged to put on the record of international organizations, foreign NGOs, non-profit, non-governmental organizations or foreign religious organizations at the place of conducting activity in Russia through branches or representative offices within five days on the basis of information contained in relevant registers, the keeping of which within the competence of the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation.

The law will require you to make changes to the orders of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and Federal tax service within three months from the date of entry into force, noted in the budget Committee of the Federation Council.
