About three thousand inhabitants of two settlements in the Prokhladnensky district of Kabardino-Balkaria remain without electricity after the hurricane, to restore the supply of electricity is planned in the near future, said Prime Minister of the Republic Aliy Musukov.

Earlier it was reported that on Monday evening due to rain, hail and strong wind gusts to 25 meters per second in the Prokhladnensky region was disrupted power supply in seven settlements. In some villages partially damaged roofs of private houses and the village Soviet is damaged naturally elevated gas pipeline of low pressure.

As of 8.00 am GMT on Tuesday the power supply was disrupted in the villages of Elm and Soldiers, and partly also in the proletarian, Amber, Ulyanovsk, winter Park United and.. «Today the power supply is restored in almost all localities, except the village of Elm and the village Soldiers,» said Moscow on Tuesday at a meeting in Nalchik.

The representative of JSC «Kabbalkenergo» Alibek Yaganov said that in these settlements remain without electricity 2940 people. «Until the end of the day it is planned to restore three lines which feed the data of the village,» he said.

Vice-Premier-Minister of agriculture of KBR Sergey Govorov reported that the floods damaged crops on an area of over 3.6 thousand hectares. «Also damaged a store in the village of Komsomolsk, the damage fodder plant in the Elm. Now is assessment of the damage,» he explained.

The head of Kabardino-Balkaria Yuri Kokov has directed the authorities to provide the local residents with all necessary assistance. «We need to quickly provide effective assistance and to finish the reconstruction work,» he said.
