The former mayor of Michurinsk, who resigned in June amid the investigation of the criminal case under article «abuse of power», excluded from the management personnel pool under the patronage of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In January 2018, it was reported that Putin approved the new composition of the management personnel pool under the patronage of the President, it was composed of 143. In the updated version, published on the Kremlin website, in a provision included 138 people.

For the six months reserve left five people, four of whom were the adult in the previously approved part — born in 1963. Among them — the rector of the Cherepovets state University Dmitry Afanasyev, first Deputy Governor of the Irkutsk region Vladimir Dorofeev, the Deputy Governor of the Vladimir region on social policy Mikhail Pegs and Deputy head of the presidential administration on issues of civil service and personnel Alexey Seregin.

Another left part of the reserve — retired mayor of Michurinsk Alexander Kuznetsov.

Earlier it was reported that in relation to the head of the city investigation, a criminal case under article «abuse of power», which sanction provides till 7 years of imprisonment. According to investigators, in August 2016, the head of the administration of Michurinsk concluded a municipal contract to acquire the building of the old boiler cost about 30 million rubles under the pledge of property of the municipality.

The investigators believe that the officer had reliable information about the lack of city budget funds to pay this contract. In addition, according to the investigation, the need to purchase obsolete boiler generally absent, as the heating season 2016-2017 planned to put into operation previously purchased two modular boilers, which provide heat and hot water consumers.
