Helicopter «Kazaviaspas» Kazakh rescuers flew to Kyrgyzstan to help trapped under rockfall tourists, reported the press service of the Committee on emergency situations (CoES), Ministry of internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.

On Monday the foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan reported about a group of tourists, which was the Russian and Kazakh citizens who got under a rockfall in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. According to preliminary information, one citizen of Kazakhstan was killed and another is in serious condition. Emergencies Ministry of Kyrgyzstan confirmed that a group of tourists consisting of seven people were hit by a rockfall on the glacier Scriabin. Kyrgyzstan asked Kazakhstan helicopter to evacuate the victims. Because of the dark, the evacuation was postponed until Tuesday morning.

«In 6.58 (3.58 GMT) the rescuers of the Republican operative rescue detachment (ROSO) flew to Kyrgyzstan on a helicopter «Kazaviaspas» in the area of the glacier Scriabin», — said the press service.

The Mi-171 helicopter on Board which is the operational group ROSO of nine people, including two canine calculation, flew out from Alma-ATA.

The report said that, according to preliminary information, a group of tourists are trapped under falling rocks at a height of 4.1 meters above the sea level.
