Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Tuesday visited the substation «Bloch» of the JSC «MOESK» on Nizhnyaya Krasnoselskaya street, which is one of the largest energy objects that supply power to the center and East of Moscow.

«Despite the holiday period, for various political campaigns, the League, the holidays, the city is actively preparing for the autumn and winter season. The mayor noted that the cables from the oil filler are a potential danger to the environment. «It’s such a heavy network inherited. Them even a few hundred kilometers, they are complex to operate and for the city environmentally,» said he.

In turn MOESK General Director Petr Sinyutin told the mayor that the outdated maslonapolnennye cables 1950-1970-ies will be replaced with new technology «cross-linked polyethylene».

«We have 650 km of such cable operated. By 2030, it will completely remove the old cables, and underground in Moscow or one ton of oil will no longer be», — he promised.

Sinyutin also said that in the coming year we will implement a project of digitalization of the network economy, which will be worked out of the model technology for all cable networks in the city.

In addition, he said that the company faces the task of reducing the time of connection to networks of new consumers. «Today, there are restrictions in Moscow, we join at any point. The reserve capacity is 4.2 thousand MW,» added Sinyutin.
