The introduction of EU sanctions against the General contractor for the construction of the route «Tavrida» — JSC «WAD» will not affect the timing of construction, told RIA Novosti the representative of the customer of the project, the press Secretary of the state Committee of road economy of the Crimea Anastasia Gurina.

The EU Council added to the list of sanctions in connection with the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait six Russian companies, the decision was published on Tuesday in the EU official journal. The list includes six companies: «SGM-Bridge», JSC «WAD», shipbuilding plant «Zaliv», PJSC «Mostotrest», the Institute «Giprostroymost», «SGM — SGM group».

«We are aware of the inclusion of General contractor for the construction of the route «Tavrida» in the sanctions list of the EU. For the implementation of projects is not affected. All contracts with JSC «WAD» will be executed qualitatively and in time,» said Gurina.

A newly built four-lane highway «Tavrida» will connect Kerch, where a bridge across the Strait of Kerch, Simferopol and Sevastopol. The first phase of construction of the highway (two lanes) is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018, the second (four-lane) by the end of 2020. The total length of the route — 250,7 km, capacity — up to 40 thousand cars a day. The General contractor of construction — JSC «WAD». The full cost of the construction of the «Tavrida» are defined at the level 149,3 billion.
