The Minister of defense of Japan, Itsunori of Onodera stated that he agreed with Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu on further cooperation to comply with the resolution of the UN security Council on DPRK.

«At the recent meeting with Mr Shoigu, we had a Frank exchange of views on defense policy of Japan and Russia, as well as on issues related to North Korea,» said Onodera following the results of negotiations in a format «2+2» with the head of the defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu.

According to him, the parties managed «largely agree».

«Mr Shoigu agreed that the denuclearization of the DPRK is of interest for both Russia and Japan, and agreed to continue to work to comply with the resolutions of the UN security Council,» — said the Japanese Minister.
